designing interfaces for war game simulator

these are screens I designed for a game called battle scope. I built a screen for every interaction imaginable on figma, and below you can also take a look at all of the research that went into the game design process.

creating game art: arctic fishing league concept

this is a concept I’m currently working on (Feb 2025) that has multiple tiers of crazy, colorful big game fish. I’ll be adding concepts for what the fishing tools and characters might look like, plus the game interface. but for now, I’m just having fun drawing.

creating game art: trophy head hunt concept

similar to the above, this is a concept I’m building out for a trophy head hunter. I love drawing creatures and weaponry, so I’m excited for this concept to shake out.

creating game art: cyber city concept

sometimes I just mess around with different styles to see if something sticks. plus I’m really into crows right now.

creating human anatomy studies

to help create more accurate character concepts, I wanted to go beyond figure and gesture drawings - so I learned all the muscles that impact the form that we can see on the outside. hint, there’s a ton.

creating animal studies

honestly making an animal study is really fun. I love the detail that goes into it, and I like to just sketch one out while I’m watching tv.

creating 3D models

I wanted to get to a place where I could make 3D game art or turn concepts into 3D models. I got a Cinema 4D cert for modeling and animation, and got really into creating and mapping my own custom textures. give me a decade and I still wouldn’t get to all of the different 3D ideas I have swimming around in my head.

thanks for taking a look. I always update stuff as I go, so keep an eye out if you want to see how some of this stuff turns out
